Surfing has always been more than just a sport for me; it’s a way to connect with the ocean, to feel its power and beauty firsthand. Over time, my love for surfing merged with my growing interest in sustainability, and I began to wonder: are there people out there creating surfboards in a more environmentally conscious way? That curiosity led me to Martin, a craftsman making wooden surfboards. After discovering him online, I reached out, and he welcomed me into his world, allowing me to capture not just his work, but the story behind it.
Martin’s journey is fascinating. Originally a climate scientist, he spent years studying environmental challenges and feeling the weight of the problems humanity faces. Eventually, he realized that he wanted to take action in a more tangible way, transforming his understanding of climate issues into a practical, creative solution.
